The zoo in Copenhagen has a special tradition for posters. The garden was founded in 1859, and the oldest preserved poster in the Zoological Gardens collection dates from 1874.
However, only around 1900 began to use posters of today's prominent poster artists as a powerful, visual means of communication to draw attention to the new animals and attractions of the garden.
This Zoo poster has a motif of tears on the finest yellow background. The yellow background contributes with a welcoming and fresh look, which is obvious in rooms such as the living room or in the cottage.
The poster can be purchased with or without a fine wooden frame in different colours and woods. These colours and varieties include black wood, natural oak, dark oak and magnetic oak.
