John Kørner
John Kørner (b. 1967) is a trained painter and sculptor from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1992-98. His style is colorful and translates into painting, graphics, ceramic objects, installations and events.
At home, John Kørner has exhibited at Herning Art Museum, Gl. Beach and Aros. In addition, his works are in The Saatchi Gallery, London.

The art as a social commentary
Kørner is part of a new generation of artists who experiment, investigate and critically work with painting and its traditions. J
ohn Kørner's works are therefore also examples of art that go in and comment on current societal issues. The 21 prints with motifs from Afghanistan are an example of this.
The same is his mural on Frederik D.'s Palace at Amalienborg. The work here depicts two soldiers who become victims of an explosion.
