Kurt Trampedach
Kurt Trampedach (b. 1943) is a Danish, figurative visual artist, educated from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1964-69.
Trampedach got his breakthrough in the late 60s, and is best known for his paintings and graphic works, although sculptures are also part of his artistic production. T
he self-portrait in particular is an important part of Kurt Trampedach's work.
Mind moods and earth tones
Kurt Trampedach's inspiration is the figurative painting, which is, among other things, seen by Rembrandt.
However, Trampedach has its own distinctive style, which is seen in his use of earth colors and an insistent exploration of mood and loneliness.
His pictures are loaded with atmosphere and contain an underlying sense of something magical, as is also seen on the poster Boy with luminous circle (2010).
